One of the oldest chop houses in Paris opens its hotel

Au Boeuf Couronné hotel was conceived to be an extension of the restaurant, to create a harbour of comfort, well-being, and conviviality designed by the eclectic architect Fabrice Ausset.

Its first guests were welcomed in May, 2017. Entrance to the hotel is through a door shared with the adjoining restaurant. Together they comprise a single destination where the art of fine dining and the comfort of stylish hospitality complement one another and create a daily rhythm that is perfect for a stay that will both excite the palate and soothe the spirit.

A unique house with epicurian, refined decor

As in the kitchen, raw, natural materials were selected and perfected to make these spaces feel like a natural cocoon. A warm colour pallet in the hotel space extends the pleasures of the table. Using wood, leather, marble, and earthenware, Fabrice Ausset has incorporated a decorative scheme that is muted, refined, and epicurian. At ground level, the reception centre welcomes you and can answer all your questions. From the first to the fifth levels you’ll find the 42 guest rooms, including two accessible to people with reduced mobility. Weather permitting, the terrace transforms into a genuine garden of gourmet delight.

Quiet guest rooms available in the centre of an historic Paris quarter

The decorative motif relies on noble materials, offering a layout that is both modern and original, including a thick work plan in heavy wood that runs along the entire length of one of the bedroom walls and includes a cloakroom. Often in some of the rooms, the work plan extends all the way to the bathroom, ending at a marble washbasin.

In a unique design, leather is used in turn as a support strap or mini-bar (only in the superior rooms), playing off touches of leather on the chairs and wood stools. The colours, soft and deep, combined with the contrast of materials, create a harmonious ambiance and will give you the feeling of being right at home.

The space for sleeping and the bathroom space form an ensemble that is both bold and thoughtful: the whitewashed wall, with its delicate nuance, fits perfectly with the immaculate white of the metro tiles, so the bathroom has a truly Parisian feel and creates a strong contrast with the marble wash basin.

The 42 guest rooms in the Au Bœuf Couronné *** hotel are divided into two categories : classic and superior.
